The Winter Photo and Snow Sculpture Contests are taking off today!
Pack your camera, or get some friends together, and get your creative hat on.
You could win cash prizes, or a gift package including a Canadian Tire gift certificate and tickets to the Vita & Area Winter Festival dinner and dance.
Photo Contest:
Sunrise Corner wants your winter photos!
We will be accepting photos of winter recreation, scenery, wildlife and every day life to use in our promotional and tourism materials. All photos MUST be taken within Sunrise Corner (the RMs of Piney or Stuartburn).
Entrants should submit NO MORE than 10 photos before February
1, 2018 at 4:30 pm. You can submit photos by sending them to info@sunrisecornermbc.ca
Prizes: First place winner receives $300 cash, second place winner receives $200 cash and third place winner receives $100 cash.
Important things to remember:
- Each entrant should submit no more than 10 photos
- Caption must include the location the photo was taken
- Names must be provided for every person featured in a photo (consent must be given)
- All photos must be in the original digital format taken by the photographer, no larger than 4MB

Snow Sculpture Contest:
Get a team together (or be your own master builder!) and enter the Sunrise Corner Snow Sculpture Contest!
Anyone can enter, young or old, to win tickets to the Vita & Area Winter Festival dinner and dance and a $50 Canadian Tire gift card. One prize will be awarded in each the youth and adult categories.
How to enter:
- Build your sculpture
- Take a selfie of you and/or your team with the sculpture and submit it to info@sunrisecornermb.ca with the subject line “Sunrise Snow Art”.
- Post it to social media (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) using the hashtag: #sunrisesnowart
The deadline is January 5, 2018 at 12 MIDNIGHT!
