Friday, September 1 marks the start of Sunrise Corner’s Geocache Challenge & Contest!
Geocaching is a treasure hunting game where participants use GPS coordinates to search for a hidden cache (sealed container containing a logbook and sometimes trinkets!)
Sunrise Corner has installed 13 permanent themed monuments around the RMs of Piney and Stuartburn for geocachers to find. Each monument has unique significance to the attraction or site that it’s located. Geocaching for these monuments is a great way for anybody to get out and explore the area!
The contest is simple:
Find all 13 monuments and receive a prize! Take a picture with the monument and post it on social media using our hashtag: #sunrisegeocache and be entered to win a grand prize!
download the contest poster for the geocache coordinates and more details on how to win.
You can use a regular Maps app to enter the coordinates and find the caches, or you can use the official Geocaching app available through the official webpage: geocaching.com 12 of the monuments will be listed through this website. Find them under SunriseCornerTourism!
