Buffalo Point Resort is seeking a motivated, experienced, organized, and dependable individuals to fill seasonal positions as Housekeepers.
The candidate(s) must have a cheerful outlook, be punctual, and hold a valid class 5 license. You will need to be able to work in a busy work environment and multitask.
Our preferred candidate(s) will be able to manage their time effectively, execute all assigned tasks to the highest quality, and have excellent communication and people skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide top-notch customer service
- Work in a demanding environment with tight deadlines
- Overall cleaning of guest cabins to include, but not limited to:
- Dusting, making, and changing beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, window cleaning, garbage and recycling disposal, replenishing guest amenities
- Dusting and cleaning outside of cabin and decks
- Delivering requests to rooms
- Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Lead; handle and report lost and found items
- Support and assist the housekeeping and laundry team in tasks, duties, required to maintain successful operations
- Participate in on-going training with equipment, tasks, and duties
- Be knowledgeable and follow emergency and safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Lead
Skills Required
- Previous customer service and housekeeping experience is an asset
- Excellent time management skills and high attention to detail
- Initiative-taking, results-oriented, and driven to meet objectives
- Positive and friendly attitude; capable of remaining calm and working effectively under pressure
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment; maintain a safe working environment
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team; able to work various shifts including weekends
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies and Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures, and Health and Safety Standards for all participants, guests, and staff
- Current WHMIS, First Aid Level 1, and Powered Mobile Equipment Certification certifications would be considered an asset but are not required
Remuneration
- Remuneration is dependent on experience
