Buffalo Point Resort/Buffalo Point Development Corporation Ltd.

Buffalo Point Resort is seeking a motivated, experienced, organized, and dependable individual to fill a full-time position as the Housekeeping Lead.

The candidate(s) must have a cheerful outlook, be punctual, and hold a valid class 5 license. You will need to be able to work in a busy work environment and multitask.

Our preferred candidate will be able to manage their time effectively, execute all assigned tasks to the highest quality, and have excellent communication and people skills.

Responsibilities                                                                                                  

  • Provide top-notch customer service
  • Work in a demanding environment with tight deadlines
  • Supervise, schedule and train housekeeping team
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards
  • Recommend or arrange for additional maintenance services
  • Assist the housekeeping team in performing duties to ensure deadlines are met
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other departments
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by the Resort Centre Manager

 

Skills Required                                                                                                   

  • 1 to 2 years housekeeping supervisory experience in a hotel/motel/resort environment
  • Guest service oriented, previous experience required
  • Excellent time management skills, high attention to detail and clear and concise communication skills
  • Initiative-taking, results-oriented, and driven to meet objectives
  • Capable of remaining calm and work effectively under pressure
  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment while maintaining a safe environment
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Able to work various shifts including weekends
  • Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies and Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures, and Health and Safety Standards for all participants, guests, and staff
  • Current WHMIS, First Aid Level 1, and Powered Mobile Equipment Certifications would be considered an asset but are not required
  • Current and valid driver’s license
