Buffalo Point Resort Centre is home to the Fire & Water Bistro. We are seeking motivated, experienced, organized, and dependable individuals to fill full-time positions as Food and Beverage Servers.
The candidate(s) must have excellent customer service skills, a cheerful outlook and be punctual. You will need to be able to work in a hectic and busy environment and multitask.
Our preferred candidate(s) will be able to manage their time effectively, execute all assigned tasks to the highest quality, and have excellent communication and people skills.
- Provide top-notch customer service by building lasting relationships with guests by providing a memorable dining experience
- Ensure prompt and courteous service from first interaction to completion of dining experience
- Learn, maintain knowledge, and advise on food, drink menu and wine selection
- Provide service in accordance with liquor and lotteries legislation and regulations
- Be attentive to guest complaints and refer to management or take appropriate action based on company policies
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and cleaning processes as set out by management to provide a clean and welcoming environment
- Complete server and VLT cash outs and balance sales and tills
- Process VLT transactions and inform management of any machine issues
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- 1 to 2 years experience in a full-service restaurant
- Excellent organization skills and diligence
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Able to work efficiently in a demanding environment with minimal supervision
- Available to work various shifts including weekends
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Smart Choices or the ability to get it within 2 weeks of hiring date
- Current WHMIS and First Aid Level 1 Certification would be considered an asset but are not required
- Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies and Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures, and Health and Safety Standards for all participants, guests, and staff
- Remuneration is dependent on experience
