Sunrise Corner is the tourism and economic development partnership of the Rural Municipalities of Piney and Stuartburn. We are now accepting applications for a Tourism Marketing Coordinator position that could tentatively run from May to August 2023 (pending receipt of the Canada Summer Jobs Grant).
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for tourism and community development in southeastern Manitoba. The Tourism Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the promotion of all community events and festivals, cultural and historic attractions, and recreational activities through effective writing, photography and/or videography that tells a compelling story. The coordinator will also provide research assistance to create a database of tourism operators, attractions, community groups and facilities throughout the region.
Position is open to youth aged 15 to 30 who are familiar with the Rural Municipalities of Piney and Stuartburn. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle. The ideal candidate will have good communication and writing skills. Photography, videography and graphic design skills would be an asset. The successful candidate will work primarily days, but occasional evenings and weekends for event attendance will be required.
