Description
The Gardenton Park Campground is now open for bookings. In the heart of the tall-grass prairie in southeastern Manitoba, you'll create incredible memories camping near the banks of the Roseau River in Gardenton, Manitoba. At just an hour's drive from Winnipeg's south perimeter, you'll be able to start relaxing and recharging right away.
- only $20/night for unserviced sites and $15/night for tenting
- 2 bathrooms and 2 showers are available for camper use
- 60+ acres of walking trails through prairie grasses and along the Roseau River
The Gardenton area is full of undiscovered visitor sites and recreational activities, including:
- Tubing, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding on the Roseau River
- Nearby interpretive trails on the endangered tall-grass prairie where visitors will find 28 species at risk and spectacular prairie landscapes all year round
- Local historical sites that include the onsite Gardenton Ukrainian Museum along with nearby Gardenton Truss Bridge, one of the last functional wood truss bridges in Manitoba, built in 1918, and St Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the first permanent Ukrainian church in Canada, built in 1897
- Events throughout the year highlighted by the Gardenton Ukrainian Festival in mid-July
