Sunrise Corner is home to countless unique and locally based vendors that you can order from online or by just giving them a call. Here are five featured local businesses and a profile of the Southeast Farmer’s Market.
Cedarstar Creations
Cedarstar Creations, based in of the RM of Piney, specializes in fun bath and body products. Handmade soaps scented with essential oils, whipped body butters, creams and bath salts, Cedarstar gives these products a fun, artistic flare. You may have seen Cedarstar at the Southeast Farmer’s Market in South Junction, but you can also order through Facebook or via email cedarstarcreations@gmail.com.
Holy Hanna Art
Hanna is a local artist based in beautiful Gardenton, Manitoba. She paints watercolour greeting cards based on the local landscapes and farming heritage in the Rural Municipality of Stuartburn. You may have seen Holy Hanna Art at the Gardenton Craft Sale, but you can easily order cards and prints at Hannah’s Etsy Shop and have them shipped to you.
Skip-O-Potamus
No need to go into town to buy your household products. Karl and Shauna Wagonhoffer offer handcrafted soaps, shampoos, lip balm, lotion bars, laundry soap and stain sticks. They are open to custom handcrafting something for you.
Leo & Anita Janzen: Garlic Producers
Ukrainian folk remedies use garlic as a way to build the immune system. The Janzens are organic vegetable producers from the Gardenton area, and grow a variety of large-clove, easy-peel garlic. Southeast Farmer’s Market
Right now, the Southeast Farmer’s Market in South Junction is closed but market vendors are still offering a wide variety of products. Many of these vendors create fresh baking, preserves, jam and jellies, wood crafts, crocheting, knitting, sewing, jewelry, clothing and décor items. Others provide direct sales of well-loved product lines like Avon, Watkins, Pink Zebra, Tupperware and more.
We’ll be looking forward to Friday afternoons all summer from 3-8 pm, rain or shine, when the Southeast Farmer’s Market will be set up at the Pine Grove Seniors Center in South Junction.
